Founded by Dewan Bahadur AM Murugappa Chettiar, Murugappa group is one of the oldest group in India. It is now a INR 742 billion conglomerate in India that spans its presence worldwide. The company founded in pre -World War 1 era in Burma (Myanmar) in 1900. After the war, the group shifted to India and established its base in Chennai.
